Manchester United & FC Barcelona Both 1 Point Away

Manchester United and FC Barcelona are both only 1 point away from clinching their domestic titles. 

Manchester United beat Chelsea FC 2-1 this weekend with goals coming from Hernandez and Vidic. However, Chelsea have all but secured the 2nd slot after Arsenal were humiliated by Stoke City by a margin of 3-1. 

After failing to retain their title last season, Manchester United will retake the title from Chelsea.

FC Barcelona also moved within a point of their title with goals coming from Iniesta and Pique as they beat Espanyol. Real Madrid also posted a victory which temporarily halted Barcelona's clinching party this weekend; however, Barcelona's gap remains at 8 points with only 9 points left to play for. 

Barcelona are set to celebrate their 3rd consecutive La Liga title.
